Rod,
Thank you for that. If anyone wants their name pulled from the list, please do as Rod did and just delete your information. For those of you that PM'd me, please send me another PM.
This list should be for those that are ready. I agree with Rod's description of ready. Paul Woolson's A Word of Caution thread is something everyone should read also.
Please think about it. Make sure you are ready.
I won't post this on the other forum until Tuesday or later.

I think that lot of people get guitars built by relatively new builders and are quite satisfied with them, and probably get a really good value/dollar because of the newbies penchant for working for cost or less at times in order to get A}thier name out there B} experience.
I suppose what you could do is list the experience level of the builder, along with thier price tiers.
Whats wrong with that!

Everyone is entitled to try and sell thier wares as long as they are honest about thier skill level. dont you think? You may want to reconsider for these reasons Serge,
I however will prolly keep all my builds - like Hesh!
well til I dont have room anymore.
Cheers

PS - Id like to add also there are other reasons for buying a builders first guitars,
As much as I disagree with the practice >there are guitar collectors out there, they will buy instruments as investments. Imagine what one of the first Taylors, or Ryan instruments are worth now?
A collector buyer may want a builders first instruments if he has a hunch that this builder will go on to have an illustrious career.

Steve,
You might want to make a distinction between folks who consider this
their business and folks who are currently just building for fun.

Peace Out,
Simon

Sorry, I didn't respond earlier Steve. The reason I thought making a
distinction between those who are building for a career and those who
build for pleasure would be a good idea is solely for the benefit of the
buyer.

If you build for a living, you will most likely have a full warranty and also
just be more experienced in general. Also, many customers would be
more comfortable commissioning from an established builder like Peter
or Michael.

By the way, I think this is a great idea you have here.

Can't wait to see your finished koa guitar - that top was killer.

Peace Out,
SimonSimonF39061.0385648148

Steve,

Could you make a couple of corrections in my listing?

Under item 3) you have a website link that is unknown to me. I currently do not have a website, but am in the process of putting one up.

Under item 8) you have sosmebody else's information. My info should be "steel-string base price $1850"

Thanks.

Grant

Sheesh, @ $1000 each I was just about to order 32 of them Grant. Only thing delaying me was work out the price break on volume that would be fair to ask for.

Cheers

Kim
